As the church, not only are we behind on this conversation but we just need to finish the story. We need to tell people that it is dark and it does suck and there is pain and there is an illness.

But there's also hope, there's also healing, there's also freedom and there’s also a future. As the church, we just need to tell the whole story. As we kick off our collection of talks around mental illness, Pastor Ali Roohi brought a message titled “Happiness Is An Inside Job”.

When the unexpected happens in life how do you respond? So often when people are disappointed long enough, they begin to live life through the lens of defeat. Many times when you start living with the mentality “I’m defeated”, people often choose to just quit.

If there's some encouragement around Easter. It's that it's always too soon to quit and if you're breathing today, rest assured God is still working. The story is not over.
